Back in the first chapter of Genesis we had a quick overview of God's six day creation process.

Now we find ourselves entering into the second chapter, with what appears to be a second or different creation account.

But this is not the case, being that the scriptures are providing us with a more complete account of what God did on the sixth day of His creation.

This account has a lot more detailed than the quick summary that you'll find in the first chapter of Genesis.

This particular page will focus a little bit more on the recorded creation account of Adam, who name means -- man, and Eve, in which her name signifies -- life.

Let's take a look back into a time where humanity was at it's purest form?

"The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." (Genesis 2:7)

From this scripture let's take a quick look at the phrase, "The Lord God Formed man" Now this phrase is basically putting an emphasis on how man was being formed?

You see up to this point, everything that God had created, was just that - a creation. But when God came to make man, He didn't just create man, he formed and crafted him.

This part of the scripture lets us know that there was a special process that took place when God got around to creating mankind.

Now if you were to also look at the phrase "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul," we will find that this part of the scripture lets us know, that we were being formed from the dust of the earth -- but life came from the breath of God.

This piece of information is important, because you must understand that God's breath gave us various life attributes that can be attached to many different degrees when it deals with God's creation of life overall.

The Lord's breath gave us life attributes of being able to grow, nourish and have senses and emotions along with reason and understanding that no other creature can match.

Let's move forward. After God had formed Adam he had placed a garden eastward within a place called Eden. God then placed Adam in this particular garden, and it was Adam's job to be a good steward in the keeping of it.

Part of Adam's job was to give names to all of the animals that God had brought to him. These animals included cattle, the fowls of the air and the beast of the fields.

"And the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18)

If we have to keep in mind, that we are social creatures and it wasn't good for man to be alone. Yes, we had all of God's creation surrounding us, but there was nothing within it that resembled us. For we were made from the richest, truest and purest source there was, which was God Himself.

So our Heavenly Father gave man a mate that will be able to relate to him. Man needed someone he could identify with, and be affectionate towards and have a family with. Man needed someone that was of his own kind, for there was nothing else that was like him in all of God's creation.

God is awesome and we should be reminded of this every time we are able to place our eyes upon His marvelous creation. Thank you God for all you have given us, for you are worthy to be praised!
