NoahThe Man Behind The Ark
The Verdict is In
"But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah. "Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God." (Genesis 6:8-9) God had decided that He was going to destroy all of mankind and every other living thing that He had made that was upon the earth. The human race had become so evil and corrupt when it came to their actions and thinking that God had perhaps, regretted that He had made man in the first place.
Christian Stories - Bible Study Online Did God Admit a Mistake?
Now that last statement that I just typed is constantly debated. Why would God regret making man in the first place? Could God have made a mistake and actually admitted to it? These are questions that are warranted, but to be honest how can they in reality be answered? Now there are some church leaders who would not even entertain these questions to begin with. For these leaders would scoff and laugh at you for even thinking about a question that would even suggest that God had made a mistake.
Christian Stories - Bible Study Online What would You Do if it Was Your Love One?
Now this article is about Noah, so I won't get into this debate on this page. But I too, don't believe that God did or could ever make a mistake - I believe that everything that He does is for a reason. But if you could try to imagine yourself being in a position to where your child who you helped bring into this world, someone who you love true and dear are trying to torment and destroy themselves? My question to you would be, "How would you feel?" Would you be sad that you brought someone in this world only to see them suffer and be in a state of enduring pain and affliction for most of their life? Who would want to see that happen to someone who they care deeply about? So I will leave it at that, for I can't answer for God. It would be absurd to even think that with my finite mind I could even achieve such a daunting feat, when it comes to answering for God.
Christian Stories - Bible Study Online A Seed Worthy Enough?
We should be thankful that Noah had found favor in God's eyes. Being that the human race had become so corrupt and wicked, we should be appreciative that God was able to find someone that was worthy enough to be an ambassador for the human race during this time. God saw that Noah had enough good qualities within him, to where He decided to turn him into a seed for the human race as a whole, so that it could be saved in spite of it's wickedness. Make sure you get that? It was at this time when God had decided that He was going to destroy the human race. But instead, He decided to save humanity by using Noah as a seed. The Bible states that Noah was a "just man," which means that he had been justified by God to be a reasonable man. Justified by God to a point where God had absolved him of all his wrongs and deemed him worthy enough for all of humanity at that time.
Christian Stories - Bible Study Online Jesus is the Truth and The Light - So Should we Ignore Noah and How God used Him?
Please pay attention to my "at that time," for I'm not trying to make Noah into Jesus Christ. For Jesus is the truth and the light and the path to eternal life. But we must not ignore the other people that God used before and after Jesus earthly ministry. There's a reason why their stories are recorded, and we must learn from their ministries and experiences, while having the privilege to gain wisdom without having to endure what they had to endure.
Christian Stories - Bible Study Online Noah Had a Very Personal Relationship with God?
The Bible also states that Noah, "walked with God" which means just like Enoch before him, he had a very personal relationship with God. Noah followed the right principles that God had approved of. He had a great disposition and his conversation had a pure agenda and was found untainted and without corruption. So when you think about how the world was during Noah's time, with it being so corrupt and wicked to where God had come to a conclusion that He would destroy the human race, which is the highlight of His most awesome creation We must keep in mind, that Noah was able to find favor in God's eyes, which says a lot about the man behind the Ark.
