At this stage we find that Satan has now entered the scene, after his banishment from the heavens.

Satan is seeking revenge and decides to go after God's most precious treasure.

He comes in the form of a serpent, which the Bible states that it was the craftiest out of all the animals that God had made.

He comes at Eve first, knowing that if he can get her?

Then there's a good chance he can use her to get Adam, the highlight of God's creation.

Now we assume that the serpent was perhaps a very beautiful and majestic creature that probably had wings and walked on all fours.

We assume this because Eve had a weakness for beautiful things. She was not frighten of the serpent and was comfortable enough to hold a conversational debate with the creature.

Now, Satan gets Eve to fall into the trap of trying to match wits with him. This is huge, because we are never suppose to try to debate God's word with unbelievers. Especially Satan and is minions!

Remember, we are suppose to resist these types of conversational snares. There are plenty of other people who would love to hear about God and the love that He has for us.

Eve fell for this trap, mainly because of Satan's approach? He didn't come at her in a confrontational manner, but he came at her in a very subtle way. He does this by getting Eve to fall for the three major temptations.

First Temptation: "Lust of the Flesh" - This temptation was put in play when Eve saw that the tree was good for food.

Second Temptation: "Lust of the Eyes" - This temptation was put in play when she saw that the tree was pleasing to the eyes.

Third temptation: "Pride of Life" - This temptation was put in play when she saw that the tree would increase one's wisdom.

Note: I would also like to point out a small but very important detail about this event. It seems that people fail to realize that Adam was standing right there next to Eve while she was debating Satan.

For the Bible states, that she turned towards Adam to offer him the fruit. This is important, because often times we are lead to believe that Eve was doing this all on her own, and this is not true because they were there together.

Now Adam takes the fruit and begins to eat. At this point, he becomes the Bible first recorded sinner, even though Eve took the first bite. Now their eyes were open and they saw that they were naked and they tried to hide themselves from the Lord. The judgment that God gave humanity because of their sins was fivefold.

First Judgment: Was against men, for now he was to toil the ground, and eat of it all the days of his life, until he is to return back to the dust from which he was formed.

Second Judgment: Was placed against women, for now they would suffer while giving birth to their children. Now I really don't want to type this next statement, but it is stated in the Bible, so I must type it.

"To the woman He said, 'I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you.'"(Genesis 3:16)

Ouch!!! I know today's women don't like hearing a scripture like that, but its God's judgment placed against women for the sin that was committed. Now I'm going to do, with the women that are reading this, and treat them like I do my own wife in situations like these? I'm going to move on to a different subject before I get decked.

Third Judgment: Was placed against nature, for now it's no longer a paradise, but now a wilderness.

Fourth Judgment: Was placed against the serpent of all kinds, for allowing Satan to possess its body. Now this creature was made to crawl on its belly in the dust for the rest of its natural existence.

Fifth Judgment: Was placed against Satan himself. Now this is a highly debatable point of view, because the scripture would seem to still be attached to the serpent.

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Genesis 3:15)

"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen" (Romans 16:20)

Can you see the similarities? So this is why most Bible scholars believe that there was a fifth judgment that was placed on Satan as well.
