"And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

"And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads." (Genesis 2: 9-10)

We have now reached a point in our journey, in which we are now being introduced to a special and unique garden.

This garden was a special place which was magnificent, majestic and beautiful; that was designed to be fully enjoyed by mankind.

"And a river went out from Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is aromatic resin and the onyx stone." (Genesis 2: 10-12)

The Garden of Eden was made up to be watered by four different rivers that parted from one main river. We are assuming that the two main rivers that are involved within this great water system would be the Euphrates and the Tigris.

Keep in mind that this scripture also mentions a place called Havilah. We are assuming that this place was probably located within parts of the Arabian lands. For it was a place that was rich in stones like gold, pearls; gems and onyx stones.

"And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates." (Genesis 2:13-14)

Now don't get this river that is called Gihon mixed up with the one that you will find in the land of Israel. For this is a different one, that is of a greater magnitude.

Also, the land called Ethipoia, we must be careful and don't get this place confused with the one that is found in modern day Africa. It's believed that this land is probably located within the lands of Arabia as well.

This special garden also had two very important elements that came in the form of trees that existed within its makeup?

One tree was called -- The Tree of Life. -- We are lead to believe that this tree main benefit would allow the human race to achieve some type of immortality.

The second tree was called -- The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. -- This tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye along with giving a person the ability to gain wisdom. It was this wisdom that God warned Adam against.

Adam was able to enjoy all that the garden had to offer, all except for one tree? This tree was called -- The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. -- Adam was given the command that he must not eat from this tree, for if he does; he would surely die.
