The Tower of Babel

The main goal of the Tower of Babel was to mark the place, in which the one world empire that Nimrod wanted to create -- would be established.

(Genesis 11: 1-9)

A Gateway to the Heavens becomes Confusion for all of Humanity

"Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth." (Genesis 11:4)

Let's see if we can shed some light on this infamous event that had happen back during this time period.

To begin with, I would like to touch on a couple of things, that I feel is of importance.

First, I would like to point out that this event happen around the fourth generation, which would be about one hundred years after the "The Great Flood of Judgment" had reshaped mankind.

Second, the scriptures points out to us that the world spoke with one common language.

Now there is very strong evidence of this fact, which has lead to some secular writers agreeing with this point of view as well.

Nimrod Might Have Lead This Project

"As men moved eastward, they found a plain in 'The Land of Shinar' and settle there." (Genesis 11:2)

There is also strong evidence that has lead us to believe that this project might have been planned and orchestrated by Nimrod (The founder of Babylon) himself.

I would also like to point out that the name Babel meant "gate of God." But later on after God had judged the human race for their vain attempt at divinity, He changed it to mean -- "confusion."

Dried Bricks Instead of Stones

"Come and let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." (Genesis 11:3)

Because of the land they did not have the quarries that were necessary for them to produce enough stones for a massive such as this.

There has been strong evidence that has lead to some secular writers agreeing with the fact, that the walls of Babylon were made of brick.

The Vain Glory of Humanity

"Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth." (Genesis 11:4)

The main goal of the Tower of Babel was to mark the place, in which the one world empire that Nimrod wanted to create -- would be established.

This city and tower that they were going to build was strictly fueled by their pride, vain-glory and defiance towards the one true God.

For they had already turned their backs on the Lord and now they had decided to build a one world empire and erect a massive tower monument in their vain attempt at divinity.

They were thinking that this one world empire and massive monument would be a symbol and representation to all the world that pointed to their wisdom and wealth, believe that all future generations would take note and be in awe of -- what they had accomplished.

God Came to See This Tower

"But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building." (Genesis 11:5)

Now do understand that God is everywhere all of the time. So we are lead to believe that this scripture was stating that God had manifested His presence and power to be displayed in that one particular place, for all that was there to be witness too.

God Causes Confusion

"The Lord said, 'If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.'" (Genesis 11:6-7)

We are lead to believe that when this scripture says, "Let us" we believe that this is dealing with the blessed Trinity, which is made up of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Furthermore, God wanted to confuse the language of humanity in order to divide them. For He had acknowledge that when humanity is completely united, they will be able to do anything they can imagine and set their hearts to.

Now this would be a catastrophe for the human race as a whole, being that they were being lead in the wrong direction by one unique individual who was named Nimrod. For he was determined to defy and be in complete opposition to the one true God.

How Big Was The Tower of Babel

Now I would also like to point out one more thing? Through research and discovery it has been found that this "Tower of Babel" was a building that was dedicated to the theory of astrology. This is basically a secular worship of the heavens.

It has also been said, that in the Babylon ruins, a building was standing between 150 - 155 feet high with a base that was between 400 - 425 feet wide.

This particular building was made up of dried bricks and was divided into seven different sections. Each section had signs of the Zodiac placed on them, which leads us to believe that each section was dedicated to certain known planets at the time.

Which Planets?

First Section First Section: Was colored black which was dedicated to the planet Saturn.

First Section Second Section: Was colored orange which was dedicated to the planet Jupiter.

First Section Third Section: Was colored red which was dedicated to the planet Mars.

First Section Fourth Section: Was colored yellow which was dedicated to the planet Venus.

First Section Fifth Section: Was colored gray which was dedicated to the planet mercury.

First Section Sixth Section: Was colored a dark blue which was dedicated to the planet Neptune.

First Section Seventh Section: Was colored light blue which was dedicated to the planet Uranus.

This is why we are lead to believe that this is the reason why God destroyed this massive tower and confused the language of all the world. For what the human race were building was in direct opposition to the one true God -- for they had conjured up a false religion and decided to pursue that path -- instead of the ways of the Lord.
