As we continue please note, that we are still in the first creation step from within God's creation account.

So keep in mind, that at this stage; the earth was still without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

This is when God sends the universe a great blessing, by speaking light into existence. Light is nothing but beauty, and power -- within all of its brightness.

So of course after God saw the light, He saw that it was good. He then divided time between the two, causing the light to come away from the darkness. He then called light "Day" and darkness he called "Night" and this made up the first creation stage.

"And God said, 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.' And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.'" (Genesis 1:6-7)

Now we come to the next creation step, when the Bible talks about the dividing of the waters. Understand, that the firmament is an expansion of space; also known as the visible heaven. This particular heaven is one of three, that's mention in the Bible.

The other two would be, the second heaven that plays host to the: planets, moon, stars, galaxies, milky-ways and the entire universe. The first heaven, would be where the Eternal Kingdom is located. Which is the House of God, and where the angels worship; and give praise to Him constantly.

Now, when it comes to the dividing of the waters: this is basically dealing with the separating of the land waters, from the atmospheric vapors -- which is water, or moister; that's found in the atmosphere and clouds. Now this completes the second creation step from within God's creation stage.

"And God said, 'Let the water under the heaven be gathered together under one place, and let the dry land appear,' and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, 'Let the earth bring forth grass, and herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, who seed is within itself, upon the earth: and it was so.'" (Genesis 1:9-10)

God causes the land waters to be gathered and formed, which made: the seas, oceans, rivers, waterfalls and lakes. Now within this same step, we had the creation of plant life. There were nice rich green vegetation, along with flowers and trees; that started to fill the earth surface. This completed the third step from within the creation stage.

"And God said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.'" (Genesis 1:14-16)

God fills the heaven of outer space with: the planets, sun, moon and stars. So we find in the first period, that there was creation of physical light, and now we find in the fourth stage; that there are different types of light sources -- which are now being placed by God's creative hand.

These two great light sources are now given a ranking: to where one is called the "greater light" which would rule the "Day" and the "lesser light" which would rule the "Night." These two major light sources, would function within three to four possible ways:

The first function deals with them operating as signs for the physical creative works of God. Because of this divine service, we are able to see God's awesome creation, and to be apart of it everyday. For these lights, should serve as a constant reminder to humanity -- that all things, were created by the Hand of God.

The second function operates as seasons, which were put in place to help mankind to: divide days, months, and years. Which serves as a calender of nature to the human-race.

The third function operates as great lights, that would be used; as guides, and maps -- for the outer-space regions. But their main purpose, would also serve as the main light sources; that would provide light, for the daytime; and provide light, for the nighttime. Now this completed the fourth step from within the creation stage.
