MacDonald Hamba's Bible Devotion
"Be much with the solid teachings of God's Word, and you will become solid and substantial men and women: drink them in, and feed upon them, and they shall produce in you a Christ-likeness, at which the world shall stand astonished."
Inner Peace & Strength
Ephesians 3:16,17 states: "That He would grant you according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love."
Wouldn't you agree that it's amazing how many people continue to neglect their spiritual growth? It's interesting to note, that they will take all the pains to develop their bodies and minds. While in the mean time totally ignoring the needs when it comes to connecting and building a stronger relationship with the Holy Spirit. They seem to be ignorant of the fact that the evidence and great motivating factor that brings true power within our lives, is rooted within the connection and relationship that we have and continue to develop with the Holy Spirit.
By ignoring this unique advantage that has been given and afforded to us, through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Understand that we rob ourselves of spiritual discoveries and effective utilization.
For you see, when we do this, we keep ourselves from tapping into the true source of power and enlightenment that comes from the Spirit of God.
For this is a type of power and enlightenment that can't be compare with anything else from within the natural world. Simply put, nothing else comes remotely close. Make no mistake many people may have plenty of material things and lots of money to go along with it, but my question to you would be: "Do they have the peace of mind of knowing what their true purpose is? Can they honestly make the claim that they are indeed free? Is it possible that they don't even know that they have become slaves, to the very things that they have worked so hard and acquired through life?"
I'll tell you this, when a person acknowledges the true presence of God, I'd like to think that they experience His power on such a level, they can't help but to recognize and appreciate the immense beauty and hidden treasures that life provides. With this being said, let us always cultivate and till the spiritual grounds, in which our relationship with the Holy Spirit is built upon.
And by doing so, I'm convinced that we will discover an entire new spiritual dimension of living. This Spirit in which I speak, is the Spirit of the living Christ. It's His Spirit that gives us the inner peace and strength to live fully, according to His will. If you enjoyed this Bible devotion, then give praise to the One who redeemed us and made it so: "Glory be unto the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!" May God continue to bless you, my spiritual brothers and sisters, in all that He puts your hands upon.
