Inspirational Prayers - Prayer of the Day

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

"And I pray that you being rooted and established in love may have power together with all the saints,

"to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the Love that surpasses knowledge -- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,

"to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. -- Ephesians 3:14-21

My Father who art in heaven, I thank you for my parents who are now in the later years of their lives. Know that I respect and honor them with all my heart. Help me to minister to their needs in the power and guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Heavenly Father, I pray that my parents will stand in confidence; when it comes to the full truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I pray that they will prosper, and be in good health as their soul becomes strong flourishes. I also pray, that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead; will be at work from within them, quickening their mortal bodies; for it's not their strength, but Yours, that operates within them.

I ask that You'll keep them close to you, so that they may continue to bring forth fruit in their old age. Be a blessing to them in every way, Father and give them continued longevity and peace. Help them to trust your faithfulness in all things. Remind them and let them recall, that You have never forsaken them. Keep them conscious of the fact, that You will never leave them; nor forsake them.

Let their hope and joy be grounded in the "truth" that states: Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of their souls, and the pathway to their eternal salvation. Give them the confidence that comes from the knowledge, that your goodness; and mercy, will follow them all the days of their lives; and that they will dwell in your house forever. Thank you, Father -- for hearing and answering my prayers. -- and so it shall be: in Jesus name -- Amen!
