Bible Facts - Reference Guides

I personally believe that one should include a book into their studying resources that was written by evangelist, author and the founder of Living Waters Publications - Ray Comfort. The book in which I'm speaking of is called - Scientific Facts in the Bible: 100 Reasons to Believe the Bible.

Know that Mr. Comfort is perhaps one of the most polarizing and controversial evangelist in the world today - and his book which is called - Scientific Facts in the Bible also comes with controversy and has had its share of critics. Actually you don't have to look too far to find those who are constantly arguing against and critiquing this book.

But in spite of this, and if one were to be honest with themselves - they could easily see that it doesn't matter which side of the argument that one may find themselves on when it comes to Scientific Facts in the Bible - for one would have to admit, that this book is a great conversation starter when it comes to the subject of Science and the Bible. And it's for this reason alone, that I would have to say that Mr. Comfort has done his job, and has done it well.

Scientific Facts in the Bible is a small book when compared to most on this subject. As a matter of fact, it could easily be classified as a booklet instead of a book. And because of this, Mr. Comfort waste no time and gets straight to the point when it comes to his viewpoint on the subject in which he writes.

And don't make the mistake of thinking that this book is boring, simply because of the topic - rest assured that Mr. Comfort's book is anything but boring. As a matter of fact, the book is a refreshing, and fun read regardless of which side of the conversation you may find yourself on. And although this book (like I stated earlier) is a short read, Mr. Comfort touches on a variety of topics - which include, but are not limited to:

• Biology
• Evolution
• Astronomy
• Archaeology
• The Book of Job
• Historical accuracy that's found throughout the Bible
• Science and the Book of Genesis
• And so much more...

Mr. Comfort is also the co-founder of the very popular "The Way of the Master Ministries" in which he is partnered with: American actor and evangelist Kirk Cameron, and American radio host Todd Friel

I must say that Ridolfi has put together an excellent resource that deals with Bible facts, that's not only easy to understand, but vast in its scope. With 415 categories and 3293 subcategories this isn't a Bible fact guide that you'll be able to snuggle up with. But if you're looking to learn about the things that the Bible has to say when it comes to certain subjects, know that this book won't disappoint.

The format of this book is written in a style that's similar to an encyclopedia or a dictionary. For example, when you go to look up the topic that you're interested in - Ridolfi's Bible fact book presents you not only with Bible passages that are placed within alphabetical order, but gives you only the passages that are related to the word and topic that you're exploring at that current time.

And it doesn't matter where you my find yourself when it comes to your biblical studies, for you could be someone who's just curious about what the Bible has to say when it comes to certain things, or you could be a novice when it comes to the Sacred Text, or someone who's very studious and dedicated when it comes to the Word of God - it doesn't matter who you are, know that this is a book that will be useful to whomever decides to pick it up.

Not only is this huge reference of Bible facts very reliable and consistent, but it's written in an unbiased, nondenominational tone, that took about ten years to complete. Know that everything from within this book is concise, alphabetized and numbered. Also within this book, Ridolfi attempts to dispel what he considers myths and folklore's - while in the process, proving that the Sacred Record is not only solid, but has divine authority and infallibility when it comes to its overall makeup.

McDowell is not only one of the world's leading Christian apologists, but he's a popular evangelist that's recognized on a national stage. McDowell is also a well established author, who has written over 100 Christian books. Perhaps his most noted works would be the books that are titled: More Than a Carpenter & New Evidence That Demands a Verdict.

Needless to say, when it comes to McDowell's latest work, Evidence for Christianity doesn't disappoint, being that it's a well-written and a very thorough researched book - that's helps one to present a very compelling argument for the Christian faith, that's both reliable and consistent.

Know that McDowell presents his case in a scholarly way that's not only authoritative, but loaded trough-and-through with historical evidence as well. It's this type of approach that McDowell uses, that erases doubt; while helping in the process, to prove without question, that Jesus Christ was exactly who He said He was.

I would also like to note that Evidence for Christianity isn't a book that was written to be read straight through - it should be used as a sourcebook instead, being that it's an updated compendium that was complied from McDowell's earlier written works, that has been made into one complete volume.

This is probably one of the mains reasons why this book is very informative, and for many, an excellent resource that's written, and complied with credible and irrefutable historical Bible facts that can easily help one to stand up to skeptics while standing on a rock solid foundation of reliable information.

Within Evidence for Christianity you'll find answers to questions that deal with:

I would also like to point out that the tone of one of McDowell's earliest works that's titled: The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict - rings throughout McDowell's book the: Evidence for Christianity - but there's a certain element that's not presented in this book, and this element deals with the exploration of reason that's presented in a philosophical sense, as well, as in-depth intellectual responses when it comes to dealing with mainstream secular arguments that come against the Word of God daily.

This way, all-in-all, you'll be able to stand in confidence, as you get the answers to the so-called hard and intimidating questions that so many Christians in the world today are afraid to address and confront.
