God the Master CreatorThe Creation Stage "Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work." -- Genesis 2:1,2(Bible Study Online Article Covers : Genesis 1:1,2)
The First Eleven Chapters?
Thank you for joining me on a journey that goes beyond all natural reasoning. We will begin by traveling through what is known as "The Creation Stage." Understand that this stage is composed of the first eleven chapters that begins the "Book of Genesis." These eleven chapters are crucial, being that they set the foundation for the following and remaining 1178 chapters that are left within the Sacred Scriptures. If we as believers could accept these first eleven chapters as Real Truth... we will find that the rest of God's wonderful Word will become clearer as we continue to make our journey throughout its glorious passages.
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage What to Expect?
Understand that the "Creation Stage" includes the biblical accounts that deals with what I like to call: Adam the highlight, the prophet Enoch, and Noah the keeper of the ark. Within these eleven chapters we will also visit important events that will take us through the record of God's Creation, the Fall of Humanity, the Great Flood of Judgment, and man's so-called gateway to heaven -- The Tower of Babel. When we finally exit from the phase that is known as "The Creation Stage", we should be somewhere around the year 2000 B.C.. I hope you will enjoy our journey as we travel together through the most exciting, and purest Book that has ever been written, which is known as the Bible. Understand that overall, the Bible has basically twelve different broad stages within it's makeup and eventually we will journey through all twelve stages:
- Creation Stage - Patriarchal Stage - Exodus Stage
- Conquest Stage - Judges Stage - United Kingdom Stage
- Chaotic Kingdom Stage - Captivity Stage - Return Stage
- Gospel Stage - Early Church Stage - Epistle Stage
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage All of This Just Happen -- Really?
I'll like to start off with asking the question: "How can something so powerful and perfectly balanced... just happen?: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." -- (Genesis 1:1-2) The question I pose, deals with a subject that has and continues to be highly debated amongst believers and non-believers. But there's one thing that I can say about the Bible. While everybody else is steadily looking for answers, the Bible continues to provide them for all those, who are willing to hear and understand.
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage The More Complex -- The Better?
For some reason, people just can't get over the fact that God created such a complex universe. But it seems to me that the creation of the universe is not the problem. It's the simple response that the so-called intellects get in return that bothers them. They seem to think that something that's so complex... deserves an answer that should be just as complicated. So they say to themselves and others: "How can the answer to this complex question be so easily answered? God created it... oh really? Have they thought about Baum's 'steady state theory' in which he states that the universe had always existed? What about Leakey's 'missing link theory?' or 'The General Theory of Evolution?'" Know this folks, what the so-called intellects fail to realize when it comes to God -- the more complex the question, the more that simple answer they get in return, is seen as Real Truth.
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage The Confirmation of the Answer -- Is Staring Right at Us?
When we look at the universe and we come to a conclusion that there are probably over one billion other galaxies within its unlimited borders. Then we begin to consider the possibility that there are probably more stars in these galaxies, then there are, grains of sand on all the beaches on the earth. And yet, this vast area of space is pleasing to the eye and so powerful to the imagination that it can't be measured. And on top of that, it all seems to function within remarkable order and efficiency. So how can one bring themselves to say: "That it all just happen?" The Sacred Record reveals that at this point in time, everything was without form, emptied and void. All you could see was darkness upon the face of the deep. Little would we know that God would put such detail and beauty, within these great areas of space and land. I could not have guessed, that God would make something that would be so diverse in life and image. That this empty vast area of space and land would be so beautifully crafted: with perfect balance, symmetry, and accuracy. Can you imagine it? God created something that holds perfect order, tremendous power, which is filled with great mysteries. Look at how awesome God is!
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage Twenty-Four Hour Days?
Now there is also a debate that's going on about the seven days that God took to make and finish all of creation. Actually, it was six days being that the good Lord rested on the seventh day. Some will say that these were actual twenty-four hour days. And for good reason: "Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work." -- (Genesis 2:1,2) And others take the viewpoint that these were six long and successive different time periods. For what is a day actually, according to the Lord? A Scripture that's worth noting, although some would suggest that you would be using this passage out of it's true context, if you were to refer to it in this sense. But still worth noting nonetheless: "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." -- (2 Peter 3:8)
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage If You Could Interview God?
But I can't help to think that with God being the Creator of time, and the fact that time moves at different speeds... how would we actually know how long it took God to create everything? I wonder if one was to have sat down and interviewed "The Master Creator" personally? What would one ask? My Question to you would be: "If you found out that God actually created all of creation in six days, six thousand years, or six million years -- then what next?" Would you just go: "Oh, that's interesting..." or, would you drop everything and go run and be God's servant to the rest of the world? What would you do? It's actually quite simple, either you believe in what the Word of God says, or you don't. Make no mistake you still have to live your life in the time period that you were born in, regardless of the viewpoint that you may hold when it comes to the length of time that God had created everything. You still have to serve your purpose that God has predestine you for anyways. Besides, the thing that's important in this case is that God did it, and not necessarily how He did it, or how long it took.
Bible Study Online - The Creation Stage Thank You God - For Everything!
Oh well, enough with the ranting when it comes to being divided over this subject. Just remember that although we may have different views when it comes to issues like these we still have one common goal in sight: receiving the gift of eternal salvation, through the blood and sacrifice of our blessed Lord and Saviour -- Jesus (Yeshua) Christ. So let's make it into heaven together through the gifts of: eternal salvation, forgiveness, mercy, grace and redemption. For the Lord Jesus Christ has made these gifts and benefits available to us. Let's humble ourselves and leave the prideful and pitiful debate distractions behind us -- shall we? There's simply too much at stake! Besides, when we make it to heaven perhaps we can ask God then... Although it still wouldn't matter at that point either. I thank God for all that He created and for allowing me to be able to play a role within it... no matter how small, and regardless of the time period. What say you?
May God blessings be upon you, and thank you for your support
In the next Bible Study Online Article:We will finish exploring the first stage within God's wonderful creation, by taking a quick look at the creation of "light." Then we will enter into the second stage from within this creation account, and take a look at the dividing of the waters (being that this was no longer one large system source, God divides it into different systems, for different uses) and we will also take a look at the "firmaments."
