Seeking God's Holiness

 Leviticus 20:7,8 states: "Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the Lord who sanctifies you."

It's generally assumed that a living a "holy life" implies a sad farewell to all forms of joy and happiness. Many people seem to make the mistake, of not being able to associate holiness, with living a full joyous and compensating life. I personally believe, the pursuit of holiness, can, in fact, lead to the most dynamic and creative power that you'll ever experience from within your life.

Understand that this power cannot be obtained, unless you are in the right relationship with God. Never forget, He's the true source of holiness. Now with this being the case, I hold true to the notion that your life will not only be enriched, but you'll be able to gain a better understanding, when it comes to others. And on top of this, I have no doubt that your relationship with Christ, will constantly improve.

Keep in mind that sanctification brings about a sincere desire, when it comes to growing in the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Sanctification, also allows us, to be able to better convey, or display His attitude, towards others.

For you see, hypocrisy can never be a part of holiness.

For the power of the Holy Spirit enables us to live sincerely and honestly, while giving us the ability, to approach life in a more positive and balanced way.

I want you to know, that being able to strive after holiness, is a very exciting challenge. For it allows us no time, when it comes to idleness, boredom or depression.

This is why I believe, that learning how to live according to God's values, is the only true way to obtain real happiness, and some type of success in life.

Nevertheless, I'm placing my trust in God, that you've been blessed by the reading of His Word and this Bible devotion. Hopefully this article have you thinking about, making some type of decision today, when it comes to changing your life for the better. When it comes to seeking out God's holiness. I'm praying that God will continue to be a blessing to you all. Not only in good health, but also in good works.
