Bible Devotions

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day."

2 Corinthians 4:16

Alone With God

Matthew 14:23 states: "And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there."

Multitudes thronged while coming together as they followed Jesus Christ. They each had a specific need that they wanted Him to address.

For amongst them there were some that needed healing in their bodies, while others simply wanted to be fed with food, and of course some were spiritually hungry, and then there were those who were demon possessed.

And of course Jesus accommodated all of them, even though He was very busy at all times.

But know that He took the time to be alone with His Father in prayer, while taking the time to recharge in the power of the anointing, while keeping true to His graceful and loving heart that moved Him to continue to meet the needs of the people.

I believe that the most important thing to a Christian deals with pressing one self to make sure they have the time to dedicate to their prayer life, while encouraging others in conversation, and supporting others through fellowship, while developing an intimacy and oneness with your Heavenly Father no matter what. It shouldn't matter how busy your schedule is at work, around the home, and with friends, or at college and so fourth.

Learning to Take Time?

Learn to take the time to have the Lord to recharge you, so you can have the strength, and the wisdom, while doing it with love, while following that "vision" that the Lord had given you. A path that will bring unto you and others: healing, joy, peace of mind and the power of the anointing. Know that Jesus is the provider of all these things. Let's press ourselves to seek His presence. I know we live in a world today where it seems like we don't have enough time for the day-to-day things that occur within our everyday lives.

Being Alone With God?

But in order for us to be effective in those day-to-day things, or whatever you may find yourself doing, always remember to seek His grace and energy, while dwelling in His presence. We must learn as Christians, how to be alone with Him. We must also learn how to appreciate and cherish those privilege moments with the Savior. And by doing so, know that your life will always be a joyful one to you. I have trust in the Lord that you have been blessed by this Bible devotion that deals with spending time alone with God.
