The fire that you instilled in me is the same fire that runs through your veins and you resent me for it.

For the same reason you resent yourself... no doubt!

But for what reason do you try to hide me from the light, the same light that gave you your bit of life? I sit and ask myself that question a thousand times.

As I sit in my dark stricken room and ponder these questions. I watch you live life like it’s a everyday thing.

But, as you see me sitting in the darkness struggling to find the light, you watch me fall deeper and deeper into the darkness with no helping hand to aid me.

And in the past you would wonder why my trust for you was so shallow and now you know, its for this reason that my trust for you is weak.

I'm fading away from you, and this should not be so hard to foresee.

And as I fall deeper and deeper into the darkness my love for you and the world gets weaker and weaker. But why won't you help me find the light?

Are you scared or are you just so selfish you don’t want me to know? But why, why must you punish me so, by letting me fall withering away to nothing but a corpse in the ground six feet under life?

And as my soul burns and I’m taking my ride down to hell I'll think of the person who put me there...YOU!

Because of your selfishness I will forever burn in your name and because of your arrogance I will never have life’s questions answered through my eyes.

Thanks be to God, you weren't my only option. I'm glad he rescued me from my eternal death, and showed me my spiritual eyes.

My spiritual eyes allowed me to find the true path that lead me away from the darkness. My spiritual eyes showed me His wonderful light, that lit the way to eternal life.

Thanks be to God, he waited on me and never withdrew his hand, for now I have been rescued from the gates of hell and I will never be the same.
