Short Devotions from the Bible

"I am so washed in the tide of His measureless love that I seem to be below the surface of a sea and cannot touch, or see, or feel anything around me except its water."

Catherine of Genoa

Put Your Sins On The Table

1 John 1:9 states: "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."(NKJV)

Do you know that every time you are strong enough to put your sins on the table, God will wash you white as snow?

Did you also know that every time you're driven enough to leave your sins on the table, God's love for you will restore you back to the family of faith?

How about knowing that all the times you were so determine to live without your sins that you've left on the table -- that God will give you peace that surpasses all understanding?

Make no mistake...

Living life as a Christian can seem as if your life is being showcased to the entire world. On top of that, at times the gospels seem to require everything within you, so that there's no hindrance of your witness for Jesus Christ.

However, don't be afraid to put your sins on the table, for some may see this as a mistake. But God (our saving grace) sees this as an act of obedience, which is a testament to your unwavering faith. Let's not forget that God promised to sustain and to supply all our needs. Today let's put our sins on the table and let Jesus renew our righteousness -- Amen.
