Has Your Fire Been Quenched?

Jeremiah 20:7-9 states: "O Lord, You induced me, and I was persuaded; You are stronger than I, and have prevailed. I am in derision daily; everyone mocks me. For when I spoke, I cried out; I shouted, 'Violence and plunder!' Because the word of the Lord was made to me, a reproach and a derision daily. Then I said, 'I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.' But His word was in my heart like a burning fire, shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not."

Can I be upfront with you for a moment?

For I want you to know, that there's no one left who needs to hear your story.

There's also no one left, who needs to hear how much God loves you.

Oh, and when it comes to that word, that God gave you (you know the one that keeps you running for Jesus) understand that it no longer needs to be shared.

That miracle baby. That near lost of life. That restored relationship. If know one wants to hear it, don't feel ashamed... just keep those blessed pearls to yourself.

For you see, that's what Jeremiah wanted to do; that's what most Christians are doing today.

For we have been given a word; given a testimony to speak in the name of the Lord. We have been given instructions: "Go and make disciples of all men."

I'll tell you this, that fire, that you won't speak about. That fire, that's shut up in your bones. Keep in mind, that's the very thing this dying world is waiting to hear about today. I ask you, has your fire been quenched? For I want you to know, all those people who don't know Jesus, won't know the Lord, unless we share what God has done (and continue to do) with them. Regardless if this fire is shared through words or actions (hopefully both) know that the Lord will be pleased, for your story, will be a tremendous blessing for all those, who are constantly seeking Him -- Amen.
