Short Inspired Devotions from the Bible
"Ponder the notion, that your gratitude towards the Lord, is a clear confirming signal from within your heart and mind; that reveals, that you indeed know, that you weren't some sort of regretful accident; but that you truly were made, with a deep, well thought out, purpose"
Antonio L. Mitchell
What Shall I Render to the Lord?
Psalms 116:8-14 states: "For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. I believed, therefore I spoke, 'I am greatly afflicted.' I said in my haste, 'All men are liars.' What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord, now in the presence of all His people."
How about just for today, let's render to the Lord words of thanksgiving.
So let's be found thanking God, for everything:
Thank You for Your love!
Thank You for Your grace!
Thank You for Your mercy!
Thank You for Your patience!
Thank You for Your faithfulness!
Thank You for the Holy Spirit!
Thank You for a new life, an eternal life!
But most importantly, I thank you for your Son, for I know that all of this is made available to me, because I've accepted Him as my Lord and Savior!
So whatever else you do today, don't let the sun go down before you render to the Lord thanksgiving praises: My Heavenly Father, know that I'm praising You, for I adore You with all my heart. For I know that You alone, are worthy to be praised. For You are the God who sees me, for me. You are my Provider; My Banner; My Rock and My King. For I also know, that in You, all things hold together. Thank You Lord, for just being who You are. In Jesus mighty name, let's us pray -- Amen
